G Hybrid

G HYBRID

Hybrid technology takes a leap forward, highlighted by the G hybrids' innovative tiered internal sole, which helps activate face flexing to power the ball off the face faster for greater distance. The ultra-thin crown allows for a low-back center of gravity to ensure high launch, reduced spin and a higher MOI for maximizing forgiveness.

Carpenter 455 Face

More than twice as strong as cast 17-4 stainless, this high-strength steel is precision-machined to variable thickness, which saves weight and maximizes flexing to generate faster speeds across the face for consistently longer results. Like the G fairway woods, a unique process adds friction to the face to reduce spin.

Tiered Internal Sole

This innovative structure is engineered to activate flexing so the ball deflects faster off the face for added distance.

Low/Back CG

Weight saved by thinning the crown is utilized to position the center of gravity low and back for high launch with reduced spin and longer, more accurate results.

Turbulator Technology

Weight saved by thinning the crown is utilized to position the center of gravity low and back for high launch with reduced spin and longer, more accurate results.

PING offers a variety of shaft flexes in steel and graphite to meet every golfer’s needs and preferences. The choice of graphite or steel for a hybrid depends on your game. Do you consider your hybrids to be more like fairway woods, or more like long irons?
For most golfers, the answer is fairway woods, and the shaft material of choice is usually graphite to match their faiway woods. Other golfers consider hybrids to be more like long irons, and choose steel shafts to match their irons. In order to maintain the proper swingweight, the standard length for steel-shafted hybrids is ½” shorter than the standard length for graphite-shafted hybrids.

colorcode2 The 5L cord grip features a firmer texture in the upper portion to help control direction and a softer texture in the lower portion for enhanced feel. Cord construction provides an extra-secure grip in all conditions. It is available in two versions – round for clubs with PING’s Trajectory Tuning+ Technology, and ribbed for the hybrids and irons.
PING offers a variety of grip sizes and styles to fit different hand sizes and texture preferences. Since grip size influences your wrist action, and therefore the direction of your shots, it is commonly used by fitters to affect ball flight.
PING color-coded grips are available in six different diameters, and can be further customized with grip tape according to your needs. Once the neutral grip color code has been determined based on hand measurements, golfers may consider smaller diameter grips to help control fades and slices, or larger diameter grips to help control draws and hooks.

Faster ball speeds are generated by an innovative tiered internal sole structure that facilitates flexing of the Carpenter 455 precision-machined face to optimize launch conditions for consistently longer results.

By thinning the crown, PING engineers positioned the center of gravity low-back to provide high launch with reduced spin and maximum forgiveness for greater distance. Turbulators on the crown and a contrasting groove pattern simplify aim and alignment, creating a consistently centered impact position.
