G30 Hybrid

G30 HYBRID

Faster ball speeds and longer distance with a higher max shot height will give you the stopping power to hold shots on the greens and attack pins. The 17-4 stainless steel face is H900 heat-treated so it's thin but strong to increase ball velocity. Internal weighting creates a high MOI. Progressive CG locations and offsets ensure efficient gapping and trajectories that maximize distance.

Speed-Generating Face

The uniform 17-4 stainless steel face is processed with a H900 heat treatment, making it 68% stronger. This allows for a thinner hitting surface that maximizes deflection and distance, which helps create a steeper landing angle to hold shots on the green.

Weighted for MOI

The G30 hybrids benefit from performance-engineered internal weight pads. Heel-toe weighting elevates MOI for extreme forgiveness. Weight in the low sole creates a low-back CG for consistent impact and helps you launch the ball high and on target.

Progressive CG Locations

In the lower-lofted hybrids, the CG is farther back to promote high launch. A lower, more forward CG through the mid- and higher-lofted models reduces spin. Progressive CG locations and offsets ensure efficient gapping and trajectories that maximize distance.

PING offers a variety of shaft flexes in steel and graphite to meet every golfer’s needs and preferences. The choice of graphite or steel for a hybrid depends on your game. Do you consider your hybrids to be more like fairway woods, or more like long irons?
For most golfers, the answer is fairway woods, and the shaft material of choice is usually graphite to match their faiway woods. Other golfers consider hybrids to be more like long irons, and choose steel shafts to match their irons. In order to maintain the proper swingweight, the standard length for steel-shafted hybrids is ½” shorter than the standard length for graphite-shafted hybrids.

PING 5L Round Cord
colorcode2 The 5L cord grip features a firmer texture in the upper portion to help control direction and a softer texture in the lower portion for enhanced feel. Cord construction provides an extra-secure grip in all conditions. It is available in two versions – round for clubs with PING’s Trajectory Tuning+ Technology, and ribbed for the hybrids and irons.
PING offers a variety of grip sizes and styles to fit different hand sizes and texture preferences. Since grip size influences your wrist action, and therefore the direction of your shots, it is commonly used by fitters to affect ball flight.
PING color-coded grips are available in six different diameters, and can be further customized with grip tape according to your needs. Once the neutral grip color code has been determined based on hand measurements, golfers may consider smaller diameter grips to help control fades and slices, or larger diameter grips to help control draws and hooks.

Custom engineering produces faster ball speeds and longer distance with a higher maximum shot height so you have the stopping power to hold greens, giving you the confidence to attack pins. To increase face deflection and ball speed for adding distance with a higher peak trajectory, the 17-4 stainless steel face uses a stronger H900 heat-treatment process, making it thin but strong. The result is more distance with the steeper landing angle you need to hold shots on the green.

The G30 hybrids benefit from performance-engineered internal weight pads. Heel-toe weighting elevates MOI and forgiveness. Weight in the low sole creates a low-back CG for consistent impact and helps you launch the ball high and on target. In the lower-lofted hybrids, the CG is farther back to promote high launch. A lower, more forward CG through the mid- and higher-lofted models reduces spin. Progressive CG locations and offsets ensure efficient gapping and trajectories that maximize distance.

To inspire confidence, the hybrids’ top rail is flatter and the heel section is higher, providing a very square face at address that helps with aim and alignment consistency. The high-balance-point TFC 419H shaft allows for a slightly heavier head weight, which increases MOI for greater forgiveness and improved accuracy. A matte charcoal finish reduces glare to help you focus.
