|PING offers a variety of graphite shafts to optimize an individual golfer’s ball flight for the best possible feel and performance. PING’s proprietary shafts are engineered to complement our head designs so that every player can optimize their trajectories for predictable results.
We recommend that you get fit for the shaft that allows you to play your best golf. Whether that’s a softer, lighter shaft with a higher launch or a heavier, stiffer shaft with a lower trajectory, a PING Certified Club Fitter can help you find the shaft that brings consistency to your game.
||The 5L grip features a firmer texture in the upper portion to help control direction and a softer texture in the lower portion for enhanced feel. It is available in two versions – round for clubs with PING’s Trajectory Tuning+ Technology, and ribbed for the hybrids and irons.|
|360 ID8 Full Cord
||The 5L cord grip features a firmer texture in the upper portion to help control direction and a softer texture in the lower portion for enhanced feel. Cord construction provides an extra-secure grip in all conditions. It is available in two versions – round for clubs with PING’s Trajectory Tuning+ Technology, and ribbed for the hybrids and irons.|
|PING offers a variety of grip sizes and styles to fit different hand sizes and texture preferences. Since grip size influences your wrist action, and therefore the direction of your shots, it is commonly used by fitters to affect ball flight.
PING color-coded grips are available in six different diameters, and can be further customized with grip tape according to your needs. Once the neutral grip color code has been determined based on hand measurements, golfers may consider smaller diameter grips to help control fades and slices, or larger diameter grips to help control draws and hooks.
The Rapture driving iron is a specialty club that’s a good fit for players seeking a low, penetrating trajectory that optimizes control. Effective from the tee or the fairway, the 18-degree 17-4 stainless steel head is more forgiving and generates faster ball speeds than its 2-iron equivalent. Yet its wider sole offers the playability of a hybrid but with a lower launch angle and much less spin. The controlled trajectory is essential for keeping the ball under the wind or when playing on a hard, fast course and the goal is to maximize roll out.
A key attribute of the Rapture driving iron is its flat face made of ultra-strong 455 Carpenter stainless steel, which contributes to greater ball velocity and promotes workability because it has no bulge and roll. A generous sole locates the CG low for optimizing launch conditions and turf interaction.
The shaft in the Rapture D.I. is 39.75″, a half-inch longer than a standard PING 2-iron shaft. PING’s proprietary TFC 949 graphite shaft promotes greater momentum and inertia for improved energy transfer, resulting in faster ball speeds and longer distance.
