|Maximizing your distance and accuracy on long shots from the fairway is accomplished by matching the correct shaft flex for your swing. The goal is to achieve the correct trajectory shape with the fairway wood, which maximizes distance with the longer woods and minimizes roll with the shorter woods.
Generally, the same shaft type and flex as the player’s driver will produce the optimal trajectory in fairway woods, but it is not uncommon for players to have a different shaft brand, type and/or flex in their fairway woods since they are ground-impact clubs and may perform differently for some players.
|The Tropic 5L grip features a firmer texture in the upper portion to help control direction, and a softer texture in the lower portion for enhanced feel. The end cap is Tropic Teal to color-coordinate with the Rhapsody Series.|
Rhapsody fairway woods offer a high MOI to build a player’s confidence from the tee or the fairway by making it easy to launch the ball with greater distance, accuracy and consistency than ever. A lighter overall system mass (at the same swingweight) promotes greater clubhead speed and ball velocity to maximize distance, especially for players with slower swing speeds.
Golfers will be assisted by heel weighting that helps rotate the 17-4 stainless steel clubhead to square the thin face at impact for solid contact and longer, straighter results. Crown turbulators can frame the ball at address to assist with aim and alignment.
A stylized PING women’s logo and attractive matte pearl and Tropic Teal theme ensure a distinctive visual appeal and continuity across the entire Rhapsody product line.
